4 leaders to be inducted into First Coast Business Hall of Fame

Four new members will be inducted into the First Coast Business Hall of Fame of the Floridahalloffame Council on Economic Education (FCEE) on Oct. 16. FCEE’s 11th annual luncheon and induction ceremony will take place at the Hyatt in downtown Jacksonville.

Approximately 350 business and community leaders are expected to honor the new recipients, who have distinguished themselves through their achievement in business, their leadership in community endeavors, and their lifelong integrity. The honorees will join a distinguished group of individuals inducted into the Hall of Fame since its inception in 1999. The selection process is an open, community-wide nomination process and the final selection by a panel of previous honorees and community leaders.

In 2008, the organization inducted Gary Chartrand, executive chairman of Acosta; Dr. Bob Lufrano, Chairman and CEO of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida; John Rood, U.S. Ambassador to the Bahamas; and Bob Shircliff, Jacksonville community leader.

Individual tickets for the event are $250. For purchase of tickets or for information on tables or sponsorships, contact Chalette Davis, director of special events, cdavis@fcee.org, or call 813-289-8489.

FCEE is a non-profit organization funded by leading organizations and individuals throughout the state. It provides free programs on financial literacy, business and entrepreneurship, stock markets and investments, macroeconomics, careers, and economics to teachers throughout Florida.
