Free seminar to help biz owners spot growth opportunities

Small business owners will have the opportunity to have experts help them find growth opportunities at two events sbdcsponsored by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) of the University of North Florida.

“The Upside of the Downturn” forum will be held twice—the first time on July 9, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Regency Square Library, 9900 Regency Square Blvd., Jacksonville; the second time on August 4, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the University Park Library, 3435 University Blvd. N, Jacksonville. Both events are free.

The focus of the forum is to help business owners determine the strengths and weaknesses of their business in order to spot new opportunities for growth. The forum will include information on the current state of the economy, the latest economic stimulus provisions, access to capital, identifying external threats, looking for internal strengths and opportunities, strategies for survival and success, and tips and tools.
