• IT Strategy: How to Write a Sustainable Technology Plan. Tuesday, Feb. 9, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Cost, $30. This workshop will stress the importance of planning to perform budgeting for technology, aligning information technology strategies with an organization’s vision, objectives, and strategies; improving processes that affect the bottom line through IT; and planning for disaster recovery. Participants will assess what they have and what they need in information technology and prioritize those needs for now and in the future.

• How to START UP Your Own business, Wednesday, Feb. 10., 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Cost: Free. This workshop provides an overview of the seven basic requirements for business startup: selecting an idea, testing the market, acquiring capital, writing a plan, turning for help, understanding legal requirements, and putting it altogether.

• Cash Flow Statements for Business and Personal Financial Management, Thursday, Feb. 11, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. or Thursday, Feb. 18, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Cost: $15. This class will focus on helping the small business owner understand where the money for business capital, equipment purchases, or staffing will come from and where it goes. It will focus on developing and using cash-flow statements to increase the success in finding business capital, planning for growth, controlling expenses, and laying a foundation for a stable financial future.
